Tamara Clary is the founder of Creating My Art. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) from Virginia Commonwealth University and an Art Education Certification from Meredith College. Tamara began her career teaching art in Wake County, Mecklenburg County, and Charlottesville City Public Schools, inspiring creativity in countless students.

In the late 1990s, she launched TC Artworks, Inc., specializing in decorative finishes for residential and commercial spaces. As a commercial interior designer and lead construction manager, Tamara transformed over 53 commercial spaces. Her work has been featured on Extreme Makeover and American Biker TV shows, as well as in local publications. For more than a decade, she served as the lead decorative finisher for The Cheesecake Factory in Raleigh, Durham, and Charlotte.

In 2014, Tamara opened a full-time art camp and school, offering children’s art camps, adult classes, workshops, and retreats. After TC Artworks closed during the pandemic in 2020, Tamara reopened in 2021 as Tamara Clary Studio, LLC, which evolved into Creating My Art, a vibrant hub for creativity and learning in North Raleigh.
